Honey Orange Chicken

 
 

This honey orange chicken is full of flavor and is guaranteed to be a hit with the whole family. It’s a quick and easy family favorite with only ten ingredients that can be thrown together in the Instant Pot or slow cooker.

Ingredients:

2 pounds chicken breasts or thighs (3 pounds if using from frozen or frozen, bagged chicken)

4 T honey

2 T tomato paste

1 T sesame oil

1/3 cup coconut aminos

2 T orange juice

1 tsp ground ginger (or Dorot frozen ginger cubes work great and are always on hand!)

1 tsp salt

1/4 tsp pepper

2 tsp red pepper flakes (more or less depending on preference)

Instructions:

Place chicken in the slow cooker or instant pot. In a medium bowl, mix together all remaining ingredients and pour over the chicken. If using an instant pot, close the lid and choose the ‘poultry’ setting and set for 15 minutes. When finished, let it naturally release at least five minutes, then quick release and shred the chicken inside the pot before serving. If using a slow cooker, cook on low 6-8 hours. Serve with rice, cauliflower rice, or served on a salad.
