What are macros?

The word “macros” is short for macronutrients. There are four main macronutrients: proteins, carbohydrates, fats, and alcohol.

PROTEIN:  Protein plays a crucial role in building, maintaining, and repairing all structures in your body and promoting a healthy immune function! Meat, eggs, fish, and dairy are all great sources of protein. There are 4 calories per gram of protein.

CARBOHYDRATE:   Carbohydrates are our body’s main source of energy. Fruits, vegetables, bread, and treats are all sources of carbohydrates. There are 4 calories per gram of carbohydrate.

FAT:  Fats help regulate hormones, absorb vitamins, and can act as an additional energy source. Fat sources include meats, oils, and dairy. There are 9 calories per gram of fat.

ALCOHOL:  Alcohol is not an essential macronutrient, but it does contain 7 calories per gram.

All calories come from the four macronutrients described above. While just counting calories can be an effective form of weight loss, focusing on real foods and the amount of each macro that your body needs to ensure it’s working at it’s ultimate capacity.

Do you provide meal plans?

Nope! Our goal is to partner with you to learn how to create a plan that incorporates the foods you love into your lifestyle while allowing you to meet your goals! Meal plans can leave you feeling restricted and inflexible, which is not a plan that is sustainable for a lifetime.

What kind of exercise do you recommend?

Your macro program will support whatever exercise you incorporate into your lifestyle, whether you are an elite athlete, enjoy leisurely walks, attend Crossfit classes, or practice yoga! Do what you love and we will work to create a plan that allows your body to perform at it’s best.

Why a three-month commitment?

Since making a sustainable change doesn’t happen overnight, we require a minimum three-month commitment to ensure you get the most out of the program — and that you practice patience with yourself. After those three months your account will automatically convert to monthly payments until you cancel.

What if I have food restrictions or special preferences?

No matter your lifestyle, the food you eat is made up of macronutrients. You can set and track your macros to fit any food preferences or restrictions.

What if I have medical issues?

We would love to partner with your medical professional to create a plan that supports your medical or mental health treatment that is recommended by your doctor.
