Hoarding Macros

Hoarding your macros will do the opposite of what you hope and it’s very easy to “plan ahead” in the wrong way.

All of us that count macros have, at one point or another, used the plan to have a special dinner, dessert, or a few drinks with friends.

However, it’s safe to say it usually backfires and if you don’t have a good balance of macro intake before you head out, it usually leads to overeating.

Here’s our plan we stick to:

1. Eat most of your protein throughout the day, which is the one macro that is less of a big deal if we eat over.

2. Remove the fluff carbs from our day. Stick to veggies, and skip the coffee creamer or skip half our English muffin for breakfast.

3. Eat 1/3 of our allotted fat for breakfast and 1/4 of it for lunch. Fat keeps us fuller longer, so if we are feeling sluggish or extra hungry, we are probably deficient on our fat intake.

4. Eat a mini dinner before we head out. We shoot for 100g lean protein and veggies which will keep us from getting hungry and will give us the power to make more controlled food choices that align with our goals!
